Just A Standard 9-run Comeback

Today's links come courtesy of creepy father-daughter bobbleheads...

Yeah, I stole that from SbB...but come on, there is really only one way to describe that.

So the Red Sox helped create baseball history last night. Smoltz looked good, but the bullpen (which has an MLB leading 3.24 ERA and the second lowest inherited runner scoring % in the AL) gave up a few runs (10) over a long stretch of time (2 innings). It's not fair to say the Red Sox lost this game though, because in order to lose you have to have your head in the game. By the way, the Yankees and Rays won again last night. That puts the Sox lead at 2.5 games in the toughest division in sports.

Ho Hum

This deal was announced yesterday. After watching the Lastings Milledge show for a bit down here in DC I was left scratching my head. He has the makings of a great prospect who has lost his mind. He is a total gangsta though.

In the same city you can find two different managers...both of whom many players have no interest in playing for! To be fair, except for Wedge (who will be gone soon) that's not a bad list to be on considering the names...just be prepared to play for a team that is out of control, very public, and is run by someone who thinks the 7-second sound bite is the way to motivate players.

And finally a cool story...very cool.

Back in a flash!
